Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner. Nationally Recognized Speaker. Nancy Hunter Denney
The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting was Wednesday, March 18 at the Roland P. Sharp Alumni Center at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. Nancy Hunter Denney, a nationally recognized motivational and leadership trainer will be featured. Cathey Sawyer, Artistic Director for the Greenbrier Valley Theatre will be honored as Business Leader of the Year.
Nancy Hunter Denney has appeared on over 800 colleges and universities in the country and is nationally recognized for her insights into life and leadership. She has appeared with Dr. Phil, Suze Orman, Soledad O'Brien and Ann Curry, as well as others. She is a well recognized educator in higher education and non-profit helping organizations.
"This year, we made it our goal to find an up-lifting speaker who could encourage our membership. WVSOM helped us realize that goal by partnering with us to have Nancy Hunter Denney speak to our membership during the time she will be on campus for a leadership training." stated Katie C. Ickes, Executive Director of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber.
Nancy Hunter Denney is a nationally recognized keynote speaker, author, leadership trainer and educator. She is an educator who seeks to inspire in others a personal sense of responsibility, leadership and obligation for serving a greater social good. To reach this goal, she passionately presents original ideas, theories and lessons on life and leadership while possessing a unique ability to teach audience members how to apply them. Her high energy stage presence is contagious as she strives to leave all hear her message to go through life in the "interested student of life position!"
A dedicated writer, Nancy is the sole author of two books; Life by Design and Zing! Your Life and Leadership. She is a contributing author to Let Your Leadership Speak.
A reception will be held at 6:30 with the dinner and program following. Tavern 1785 will be serving dinner. The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce with a membership of over 350 in 2008 serves the Greenbrier Valley through programs, events marketing and business advocacy to facilitate economic growth.
